Letter to Prospective Advertisers

Dear Prospective Advertiser:

 We at Authors' Coalition would love to have you as an advertiser or a sponsor.  Whether you are an author or involved in the publishing industry some other way.  If readers and writers are your audience, Authors' Coalition is the place for you to be seen.

 You may want to check out some of the programs we will be sponsoring in 2008.  They are all available one way or another if you serve as a sponsor or join as a member. If you choose a sponsorship, your banner/ad/link will appear on every page in our site.  Find the list of sponsorship opportunities here.

Our advertising program includes the best values in the industry for website ads. 

Our ads are $25 a YEAR for members, $45. a year for nonmembers, but then that includes a silver level membership.  Home page ads are $75 and include a silver level membership. (These included memberships are regular memberships, not sponsor memberships. ) We operate on the theory that authors and supporting industries need to promote and advertise but that many can't afford to do that. It is important to us to provide services at the most reasonable cost possible.  We do ask for return links, recommendations, etc.  You will also note that our ads appear in  more than one place on our site. We repeat them and scatter them as time and space allow. 

Many ask about ads in our newsletter, Sharing with Writers and others. Sharing with Writers is a labor of love. We do not accept advertising because we want subscribers to know that recommendations are completely impartial.  A la Consumer Reports, if you will.  That does not mean that as a member or sponsor or advertiser that your business will not be mentioned. You are welcome to submit any project or service you are doing that will benefit writers including articles etc.  You will also received special consideration for your news from our sister newsletters.

 Again, please note that as a sponsor you will be a part of some of our fair activities, our catalog that goes to booksellers and press, our CD that goes to readers, our slideshow, etc. All depending on the level you choose. As a member you will have access to these programs as well.

Oh! We will also be starting a classified ad page. It will be $45 to anyone for an ad for a year. Ads may be up to 50 words. See below under Classified Advertising.

Display Advertising


You will notice that authors' books appear everywhere on this site. They are our member-advertisers. We pledge to install paid advertising in as many places on this site as space and time allow.

  • You may advertise as a sponsor. Click here for how to do do that.
  • Or you may feature your book with ads.
  • Our ads are one-unit ads and home page ads.
  • One-unit ads are $45 for nonmembers. That fee includes a silver level membership.
  • For members one-unit ads are $25.
  • Our homepage ads are $50 for members, $75 for nonmembers. The fee for nonmembers includes a silver-level membership.  All home page ads will also be repeated throughout the site as space and time allow.
  • All ads include your book cover art, a blurb, endorsement, brief synopsis or pitch, up to 100 words (though shorter is better for your readers) and a link to your preferred point of purchase. 
  • Your ad appears on many pages, not just one.

 

Classified Advertising

Our classified ads are especially suitable for projects, products and services that appeal to writers of any ilk--from poets to freelance writers.

  • Our classified ad page is $45 per year, per ad. Ads may be up to 50 words.
